I have a 2001 S10 xtreme and I was wondering what kind of exhast I should put. Should I put duals or am I wasting my money. I heard flowmaster 40 series were good but IDK any suggestions

I wouldnt suggest true duals, but perhapse a single in dual out for the duals look. Brand & sound is a totally personal preferance. For best performace look into a straight thru design like a Magnaflow. I wasn't a fan of the tone of the maganflow with my 4.3 but it sure did help performance.

Here is a vid of another members truck, I think it sounds phenominal. It's a magnaflow cat & Flowmaster Super 40 muffler.

IMO this is the best a 4.3 could sound. This sounds 10 times better than Flowmaster Delta 50 I had a while back

Does it have that hot rod sound cuse I dont want it to sound like a tuner do you know about how $ that would run me

Could always try & make the astro/safari van header pipe work. It's 2.25 that Y's into a 3" single. Cheaper & easier, still great sound if you choose the right cat & muffler. Me personally, I like flowmasters/force mufflers.

Hey thats mine!:) I was going to tell him about it and you beat me to it. Topher--there is a thread that I started that has the clip Siverado mentioned and about the 3rd post into it there is another one I did. If I remember right there are a couple replies with other clips from members. At StreetFire.net which is where the link will take you, look up 4.3/S10/S-10/Exhaust/Etc. and it will come up some more clips of different setups. Also not I will be posting a NEW clip sometime this next week. I just got the Y-Pipe installed today---Yeah Baby!!!:3gears: But I got stuck in rush hour traffic :banghead_ and didnt get much chance to play around. Its a little louder tonewise, little more pop-pop, more noticable on startup and felt better the one time I got on it toward the red-line.
