Attn members: I have come up with what I think is a great idea to bring more members to our site. You can win money by helping us grow.

I was browsing the web looking for company’s who could help me promote our site. As all company’s do, they wanted me to fork over a fair amount of cash for this assistance.

So I thought to myself should I pay a company or make it interesting for our members. After much debate on this subject I decided to make a member here earn some money. I thought should I pay each member to help bring new members. Then I thought no, I don’t have enough funds to do that.

So I browsed through sites and found an interesting addition called the referral tracker.
This new addition keeps track every time a new members sings up and puts your name in the referral box. You can view this link at the bottom of the page.

So then the idea struck me. For each member who gets 10 referrals their name will be entered into a draft. The dates are from today till January 15, 2005. On this date I will post in the forum the selected few members who have a chance of winning. Then on January 20, 2005 I will declare a winner.

What will they win? I will personally donate out of my personal funds a $100.00 bill to the winner. What other site out there gives there members a chance to win a $100.00. Why pay an advertiser when I can give it to a member.

I have seen this read about 40 times and not one reply. Does anyone like this idea? Please post up your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

i think it is a great idea, but im just afraid that we couldnt get the word out like a banner on a site would be able too.

I will try and get as many people as I can. I like the idea. But I do think that banners are pretty effective also.

great idea! advertising would be more effective though. how do you get all those s10planet members to come over? is s10 planet being shut down? i just registered with s10planet last night, then saw that it was being shut down and a new site was made, so i came straight over and registered here. maybe something could be set up so when you go to s10planet it directs you to this site. then after you register here you can go back and log in at s10planet and retrieve any info you have over there as a member. does that make any sense?

the members came over so quickly, because the site is made by the same people, and this was a branch out to gain more members
