Im new and I dont have a truck but I hope to get one soon and I have plenty of plans for it one of course being exhaust, ive heard quite a bit of exhausts on these S10s and most of them are deep and strong but I want to know how I would get a nice crisp but loud high pitch exaust to really give the truck a racing theme, can you even get this sound with a stock V4 or V6 ive unfourtanly only really heard it on faster cars with V10s or 12, any one have any suggestions of what to do with the exhaust to get this sound or even small engine mods?

That sound comes from super high rpms and more cylinders.

Exactly, also can be heard on some high winding V8's that have smaller bores, too.

Do something that ive never seen before, drop a Viper or Ferrari motor in your truck.

You could try some big fart can looking mufflers like the import crowd use. They have a higher pitch than a regular muffler.

ahhh, you dont want to make an all american machine sound like ricer. thats a disgrace, just go with some good flomasters.

I don't know about you, but I like the sound of low gargled chamber mufflers... especially on big displacment V8's.... however a V6 can sound good. The Dynomax Super Turbo is finally breaking in and sounding better than when I originally installed it.
And check out this vid clip, it's a cheapo Flowtech Afterburner muffler on a 4.3L Sounds good to me
