4.3 CPI (Code 43)

I've got a code 43 (knock sensor). Just changed out fpr, fuel filter, cap/rotor, and I'm going to change out the plugs today. When I took off the intake plenum yesterday I noticed the vacuum T hose on the back side was torn, so I will replace that. Also on the drivers side the sensor between the spark plugs was severed so I'm going to repair that today. Any help in diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Check & make sure the knock sensors are plugged in first.
There is one on the back of the passenger side head near the distributer, & on in the side of the drivers side head by the steering shaft.

any chance you knocked off the connector off the passenger side while back there changing the cap

Yup. Most likely a bad connection at the sensor.
