Does anyone know if a compressor from a 98 and up Blazer can be adapted to a 96?

Do you have a pic of your 96?
No i dont have a pic of it but I can describe it to you.It has 4 bolts that drop down thru the top and two large lines(side by side)held down by the same bolt, that go in the top at the rear of the compressor.The connector is two prongs side by side at the front top right behind the pulley.I suspect that this could be the difference but i need to verify this before I start looking for another compressor.The one thats on it is kicking in and shows almost overfull but is not cooling.

The mounting and the hard lines are the same as described as my 2003 S. Ill check the connectors tomorrow. BTW the top rear hard lines are on a aluminum base that keeps them together and has one center bolt to attach them. I believe its the same.

FYI if you go to the newest TOTM thread thats currently running, I have pics of my truck there. You can tell a little about the 03 compressor. There is a 2-pin plug toward the front for the clutch, the hard/flex lines and it looks to have 4 top-mounted bolts to attach it to the bracket. It should give you a visual.
