Hello, I was wanting to level out my Blazer X, looks like the ass is higher than normal, 2 Inches should level it out with the front. I work for Autozone and was thinking about getting the 2" Rear drop blocks that we sell. Will I run into any problems or will this be a fairly simple install?

I have an 2003 LS with ZQ8. Its the same setup as the Xtreme suspension. I used a 1" block on the rear to level it out. I have pics on the TOTM march of this month if you check it out, youll see how a 1" block will look. I have had it on there since 2004 and no problems ever.

You shouldn't run into any problems with a drop of that amount and it shouldn't take more than an hour to accomplish for someone that has never done it before. Thirty minutes is more like it if you have been there before.

hardest thing you will find is trying to losen the rusted u-bolts. a good impact wrench comes in very handy if you don't like busting your knuckles.
i would recommend you spray some penetrating lube on all the nuts and let them sit over night to help losen them a bit
or a sawzall. If your gonna hammer on the throttle a lot id recomend Steel lowering blocks. My 94 4.3 5speed loved to shear off the center pins on lowereing blocks.I had steel ones on my Cherokee and they took an unreal amount of abuse.now they are going to go under my blazer.Always use new U bolts though.

Did you have to run shorter swaybar links when you dropped your ass end?i found a ZQ8 blazer swaybar on Ebay from S10 warehouse and was thinking about getting it and putting it on when I drop mine.
