nos w/ S/C??

ok i have been wantin to try nos on my 4.3 but i've been told by some friends that nos and a s/c are a bad combo. I was alsow wondering how big of a shot would be safe for my engine.

nos can actually help a super charger by cooling the air charge which means you can burn more fuel and produce more power, but i have no idea how mcuh of a shot you would be able to use

Tell your friends you had your muffler bearings replaced and see what they say. Look at Dogsofjune's signature and you will find your answer.

Hell, even a small shot along with the S/C will do good. Sounds like the advisor to bigstick had inexperience leading to a bad experience.......sir, please step away from the toolbox.

lol well thanks guys i think i'm buyin the zex 55-125 shot kit for my truck.........do you guys think a tune is needed for this? just so i know for sure

Using NOS does help cool down the intake charge and using a small wet shot works well but I preful Meth. Thing is NOS is a oxidizer and you need to richin up your mix (a pain in the a$$ with our fuel systems) and back off the timimg. With Meth (a fuel) you get the cooler charge (up to 100degrees colder) with more timimg and less chance of going lean and knocking.

to do methanol you will need a injector in the intake track and a resivor and pump to supply the injector. Then you need the electrinocs to pluse the injector when you need it to. You could easily do this at home, use a old washer fluid tank and hose to the injector, then all you have to do is wire it up to plus the injector

Supercharger, Meth injection, and NOS? Havn't seen that before could work out but thats a lot of tuning needed. Do tell us how it works out!
