Front Rotors

I have a 99 s10 2wd 4.3 blazer and am trying to take out my rotor. I already took off the caliper but the rotor won't come out. Is there some kind of lock on them? The rear rotors come out after i take out the calipers. How can I take out the front rotors and what do I need thanks a lot.

All you need to do is take the caliper off and the rotor should come right off. Might take a little convincing to get it off

you think hitting it with a plastic or rubber hammer will do the trick. The rotor seems stuck but ill give it a hit lets see what happens. Thanks

Is this a single-piston caliper or a dual piston caliper setup?

Are these the integral rotors & hub or just the rotors? If they're the int. rotors like what was commonplace 15 yrs ago remove the dust cover, pull the cotter pin & take castle nut off. If it's just the rotor heat it up w/ a torch & then spray some penetrating oil on the wheel studs. Give that about 15-20 mins then wack it w/ a hammer.. a big, big hammer. If you don't have a torch or big hammer, find a sledge & give it a good wack. Be smart where you hit...

Ford wrench.. hot wrench.. sledge hammer... all the same ****. Anything that gets the job done! I grew up workin on Fords. 1st car I had was a '65 Ford Galaxie 500... Fords are like learning auto in double time.
