bad engine?

just finished baggn my 1995 4.3 vin code w cpi... drove good for 1 day.. went to start yesterday and no go.. checked fuel pressure 63 then drop to 0.. i tested to see if leak in pump? no.. leak on fpr, no noticed gas in my oil dipstick.. i was told that means bad rings... any other reason then that... befor i go and swap motors... if i have to swap will a 96-2000 4.3 complete drop right in and work with my existing computer? if not will a 96-2000 computer drop right in? and help fast would be great this is my DD and bout to blow it up!!!

'96+ is totaly different. You would need the whole controls. Use a '96-'97 to avoid passlock issues.

95s are tottaly different animals when it comes to mods i found out, hope u get everything u need

it sounds like a simple fuel problem to me, plugged filter or pump screen, i would change pump, screen and filter an see if it'll fire.

beign cpi if the fpr is leaking it could get gas in your crank case and not be bad rings, do a compression test first you may not need a engine
