Has anyone made the v8 swap and kept the 4.3 injectors and chip initially then replace them with the 350 injectors and chip? If so,how much of a difference did it make both at idle and top side?

That wouldn't be a very good idea. It'll idle and run but it'll be constantly lean. Full throttle would probably ping like crazy due to being so lean.

But, I'm also a believer in trying different things. So if it's all you got, just be careful.

It cranks and runs fine.Ofcourse being a new engine ,I have run it hard but it does seem to be lacking on HP considering it should be pushing close to 400.I know it HAS to be changed out,but I guess I was hoping for someone to tell me that once they made the change, they could tell a really BIG difference.

Close to 400 on a TBI 350 with 4.3 injectors and comp? Id have a hard time believing that with the right stuff in there

early model 350,350 hp engine 4-bolt,pro-line forged 4340 400 crank, journals cut to 350.proline 4340 h-beam rods.3.75,wiseco .040 DT pistons 11:1 cr,block shaved, all rotation balanced to 12,500 rpm.Aluminum head ported w/2.05-1.98 valves.Lunati roller cam 638-50157 .555/.555,aluminum timing gears, intake slotted to adapt tbi to early block.First time to try with a TBI,maybe go back to carb, but liked the quick starts and response of TBI plus I wanted to leave it as close to factory as possible,Maybe I expected too much from a TBI.Gonna try the Caprice injectors and computer. ps-other than the 40 series flow masters giving it away,it looks totally stock.
