Well, I tried posting the location picture.
Email me if you want it. I can't do pictures on this site any longer. Too stupid to run an ftp program I reckon.

Do you need to convert them to a jpeg or something?

Originally instock form, my TA had one for the gague in the LF side area of the head between the #1 and #3 cylinders and I would think it is the same on the 4.3 as that 305 and my current 355. I think there was one for emission control on the other side or the intake area. Havent ventured down that road on the S-truck yet. .......OK looking at a diagram from ALLDATA, the ECT(engine coolant temp sensor) is located between the center and rear cylinder on the drivers side...two pin plug with colors of Black and Yellow for the wires. Hope this helps. Whats the issue BTW?

that is what i thought. when i put the truck back together i forgot to plug that in and the truck started fine it just didn't read anything on the temp gauge. when i plugged it back in and did a few other wiggling of wires the gauge started working again. then with the truck still running, that ECT clip popped out and the truck died. but i could restart it. i just didn't know that the ECT sensor unpluging would cause it to die. just wanted to make sure i knew what i was dealing with.

Hmm.....never heard of that one. The 2 wires are a low-volt signal input and the output to the ECM. Not sure a reason it would allow the truck to stop running but its good to know thats a posibility.
