They fit. ZR2 differs in front skid plates, wider rear axle tubes, wider spindles and associated steering componets and different suspension tuning. Nothing differs in the engine department or clearances around the exhaust. I see these used on e-bay all the time and in great shape especially if they were the coated ones. Keep checking there, you never know when youll find that steal of a deal. =)

i also heard the JBA's had a spark plug boot burn through prob. didnt know if some corrective cutting could fix that

Those JBA shorties are expensive! And from what I understand the $$ can't justify the gains.
I like these tuned, equal length long tubes by Hooker. I was going to R&R a set and see if I can't sneak them in between the frame of my Silverado. $400 from Summit, and their usually pretty good about returns without questions.

"Those JBA shorties are expensive!" Thats why I would look for a deal on a decent used set. I found a barely used set on e-bay a few months back, but the were the 4WD set and I have a 2WD. They went for $150+shipping if I remember right

I think the burn through problem only exist when the stock plug wires are used. If you check out your stock wires or the say...MSD 8.5s stock replacement set...there are a couple boots that are straight and the rest are a 90 degree. Since the induvidual tubes are looped and routed differently than a manifold, they could be an issue. JBA sells a set of replacement plug wires for their headers specifically. Back when I got the SLP headers for the TA, I had a couple close boots to the tubes and after a while the heat rotted the boots dry. I got some of those heat sleeves and put them on all of the boots. No problems. They actually discolored a little which shows just how and where the heat occurs. I know some local auto parts stores are carrying them now made by DEI. Cheap insurance IMO. I think I ordered mine from Jegs back then and they were MSD brand. Its basically woven kevlar. So that might help, or upgrade your wires and get the JBA set or a custom MSD set. =)

The JBA wires burn too. Someone here had that problem. The heat sleaves would help with it.

not sure if they would fit a zr2..they make different intakes for a zr2...some engine clearance is different then a normal 4x4....i ordered the zr2 intake by accident and had to change the order becuz it doesn't work on a normal 4x4 so not sure about the headers...i would just call jba

Not sure, but if you look at the application notes, it says "7. Will not fit lifted vehicles." Which is somewhat what a ZR2 is. I really don't understand what the difference would be. I was sitting around wishing last night and contacted JBA about this one (since I'll soon be lifted), but they haven't gotten back with me yet. I realize that my lift and your ZR2 aren't exactly the same, but I will post their reply when/if they do.

1st...is the ZR2 higher than a basic 4wd? I know its wider and has a few extra componets. Also, i can see the difference a header fitment would be on a body-lift...since the firewall is going to move. But that should allow more clearance. The only suspension lift I could see affecting it, would lie in the y-pipe fitment since it crosses the torsion bar. JBA should be able to shed more light on it hopefully.

According to this (http://www.s10extremist.org/tech_articles/zr2_comparison.htm)there is a 3" suspension height difference--lists some other stuff, too. Yeah, a little weird that they didn't specify body or suspension on that note, so that was part of my question to them.
If you want to see for yourself what I was referencing, look near the bottom of this page for "notes". (http://products.jbaheaders.com/detail_shortyV.asp?id=1840S-3JS)

Correct!
When I got my JBA's on I just said what the hell and used the original wires. Wasn't long after that I burned 2 wires up. Replaced them with some JBA wires and didn't have any problems.
As for ZR2's... no clue... they worked fine on my extreme and it was lowered.
