Custom Radiator 02 Blazer Xtreme

Anyone running a custom radiator with tranny & oil cooler, or know of a company that makes them. I'd like an aluminum rad as thick or with as many rows as I can get for max cooling. does anyone know the deminsions of the stock one and what would be the deminsions the largest custom you could have made w/o majors grille mods?:(

You wouldn't need to mod your grille at all. The width inside the rad support is 31" max, about 16" tall & it's 2" deep.. if you plan on running a/c you'd need to think about how to get your condenser to fit because it more than likely won't on a 2nd gen. The stock 4.3 rad will do just fine for 99% of all V8 conversions but won't fit inside the rad support w/out mod'ing the support itself. Even the corvette rad requires some support mods to get it to fit. BTW, having a very thick rad won't really help you much because air flow is key to good cooling.. think about using an electric puller fan setup (like the Taurus fan, here's the link http://s10planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4232&highlight=taurus). I'm working on fitting the 4.3 rad inside the support (here's the link to that http://s10planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6693). Why pay $200-500 for a rad when what you have will be more than enough? JMO..

I think Be-Cool sells a drop in model for either auto or manual. They are alum, nice and cool good, and will fit without any mods. Also try Griffin
