Yes, to the best of my knowledge ALL xtremes had the ZQ8 suspension pkg & the (not-so) Xtreme appearance pkg.

Yes, all the Extremes i have had, had the zq8 suspension and so did the 96 SS i had. some sonoma's have it to 4cyl and 6cyl, most of the trucks have the rear drum brakes but you can find some with disc breaks, rare but they are out there. Blazer's are about half-n-half with the disc's but suspensions are zq8.

GMC had a Street Heat package that had ZQ8. I think they also had their own RPO something like ZRS. They were 2wd,extcab,ZQ8s with stripes, bedrails, sunroof and a few other items. I only ever saw one in a brocure. Wish I still had the Sonoma brocure. It was around 2001-2002. Just a little history.

Correction....It was called Street Rider package and was RPO ZRX. 2003 model year and moonroof was power. Link has a small pic and brief description -->http://www.illinoisgmc.com/illinois_gmc_vehicles.htm Theres a thread over on S10forum about them and a few owners' pics. A good few pics of one http://www.cardomain.com/ride/596254. I saw a reg cab model on CarDomain, but since there was no way of putting a power sliding sunroof on a reg cab, I dont believe its a real one. You could get the bedrails as an option on any SLS/SLE Noma and order the stickers from parts department. You could get either bed style. Another owners pics.....notice the door sil plates http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=71675 Another little history info was the Sonomas ZR2s were called Hi-Rider package and the early S10 crew-cabs were Odessa package. I remember a long time ago seing a 1st gen S10 with a ZO7 or ZQ7 or something like that on a reg.cab behind the door/b-pillar. Remeber it had black-out trim and 2wd. Anyone know what this was? Logo was similar in size to the 2003 Tahoe Z71 emblem behind the rear door and was 3D, chrome/black

that cardomain guy is full of ****. 0-60 in 5.6...i highly doubt that. with all my mods i am still hanging around 6 flat, and that truck is stock i bet besides stereo. his page says GMPerformace parts for all the engine mods but i have looked at GMPP before and they don't have much for the 4.3.

I didnt even read any of his post. I was just serching for specimins. But youre right. GMPP has little 4.3 stuff in tha past and not much other than aluminum blocks nowadays. But he is also lying about a ew other things. One is colors. He mentions that Black, Red and Champagne are the only ones availible. 1st off S-series never had champagne. Hes referring to Lt. Pewter. And if he knew so much as he wants you to believe, he would know that. You should check out my reply on his comments page. Hehehehe Called him out!

This thread has been whored out, but on a more serious note can anyone tell me where I can find a more beefy leaf spring because I need to tow with this truck and is that all I would need if it can even be done.

if you can find a wrecked s10 with the z85 heavy duty suspension option some of them (not all though) will have 4 leafs plus the overload - my truck does. I find it way too stiff when it's empty but you can haul some heavy stuff without much drop in the back. it would definately screw the ride height on a zq8 truck though

(i've repainted all of this since the pic was taken so it's not so ugly now)

AirRide makes a load bag thet goes in between the top pf the axle over the leaf attachment and the frame. Just air it when needed and it will be stright when not needed.

what do think about supersprings.com $287 for 1800lbs tow or $320 for 3000lbs tow. Anybody ever heard anything about these springs? http://www.supersprings.com/#pulldowns

Chrisvich....I found TruckSpring.Com which has many options. They have the airbag which goes between the axle and frame. I think these are goo because you keep your ride height and quality under normal driving. And they sell Hellwig helper springs in different levels. They give the added capacity too. Hopefully this link will work...I looked up under 2003 S10 =) http://www.truckspring.com/VSearchResults1.aspx

awesome...that is exactly what I was looking for. I am probably going to get the air springs for 194 and hidden hitch. Thanks
