would it hurt to stop the flow of coolant through the heater core like a bypass or something

Nope...just wont have heat. Connest the 2 hoses together with a hose adapter you can get at most any auto parts store

well i think ill hook it back up when it starts to cool off but it vents heat thru the floor and im goin to bring an end to that

You don't want to do this if you still have Dex-Cool. It dosen't like oxygen to much.

Its done in one of those dust and oxygen free rooms by guys in HazMat suits.....like the ones they build the silicon chips in. Hehehe

Yes you can bypass it without any bad effects minus no heat.
If you are running dexcruel, change to green.

I hate that.....mine pumps out a little bit of heat too with nothing on. Its either roll down the windows or kick the A/C on

My core burst on me this morning, Just bypassed it for the summer, Ill worry about it in the fall.
Thats a GM trait, ALL my GM's have always had heat seep

So thats what its from. Fogs up my window hehe. Gets real hot if the windows are up and no ac on while on the free way like some good foot warmers lol.
