The drop spindles for the Blazer are for Dual piston calipers and non-serviceable hubs. The 97 spindles are single piston calipers, not shure on the hubs but someone will chime in with that.
As for shocks Bilstien is a far better shock. The Belltechs are not bad (thats whats on my truck) but if you can afford the Bilstiens get them.

ok thanks for the info on spindles. As for the shocks, I have a 04 extreme blazer and was wondering about leaving the stock shocks on cause im going to lower it 2" more in the front with drop spindles and 2 1/2 more in the rear with 3"springs and a 1" block

If you go more than 3inches lower, you should get new shocks, you can, but you ride quality might/will suffer. Belltech make shocks specifically for your amount of drop, thats what I have on mine

If youre using the stock springs and a-arms, and using the lowering spindles to acheive the drop....keep the shocks you have. By using the drop spindles, you are not changing the distance between the shock and springs mounting/resting pionts. They will perform the same

Yup. Definately want to consider a specific shock for the rear if its blocked over 3" and also like Drew said about the front if using the springs to drop it up there.

On the rear blocks don't move the lower shock mount but the drop springs will. Drop springs = new shocks.
