When I turn the defroster on a little air will come out and when I put it at my feet none will, but air will always come out from the top(toward my face) Anyone know what my problem may be?

Sounds like you have a problem with the selector door not moving. More then likely it's a disconnected or broken vacuum line under your dash. Do you here anything when you move the selector on the control head (heater controls)?
what year is it? like wildside said, could be a vaccum line, but ive seen the hinge mount point on jeeps break. They are jsut made of cheep plastic.

I had the same problem on mine look for a dmaged vacuum line in the engine bay first. The one that runs by the brake booster to the throttle body was cracked and leaking. Once i replaced it the truck ran alot better and vents worked right

i have the same problem i replaced the vacum lines and it helped a little but the main problem is that the vent doors inside the dash are broke i just havent felt like tearin it apart to fix it! lol

Has there ever been a selector failure from leaving it in a "On" possition? I ask because that's what I did once & this is what resulted.

I wouldn't think that would cause a problem.
