Yah the truck will ding the same noise that it makes when you turn the key but don't start that slow ring and it will do it once but then don't forget to turn your lights on like I did the other night =] It comes in handy in parking lots

I only know for the 2000 pickup I'll have to ask this dood in our club hes the one who just sat down in my truck and started pressing buttons then the lights turned off it was pure accidental My advice is to play with the dom overhead button / any light button to see if you can get anything to work

Indeed it does work!! I tried today..it was awesome. My boyfriend and I used to talk about how stupid it is that there's no way to turn the DRL's off. Thanks so much for informing me and the rest of us(who didn't already know) on how to do this!

I've noticed my lights come back on automatically if I turn the truck off and then back on. I didn't realize it at first because I completely forgot I even turned them off but when I pulled up to a building and saw them on, it hit me.

Yup....it resets. Its in the manual actually if anyone still has theirs. On a side note, the Fogs reset too. Thats why GM went and put a momentery push button instead of the switch like they used to have.

Ah I didn't know it was in the manual I read through it well...skimmed through it and couldn't find it I'll have to check that out tomarrow

hitting the dome overide buttom 4 times will turn off the autoheadlights, but only on the 01 and up trucks, it doesnt work on my 2K Bravada, but worked find on my 01 Blazer X, i did it all the time, and for the DRL's you can jut remove the relay in the underhood fuse box, and just bent one of the pins back up and put in back in, that way yo ustill have the passenger side headlight working and no DRL's.

it must not be for 98's mine doesnt work, i heard that its 99-up a while ago before i got my truck, but i heard of people putting little led lights under the dash speaker grill and put the light sensor by the led and u have toggle to turn the lights off or on.

Lol i found that out 1 night by mistake.
I think if you leve it pressed in (non exstended)after the lights turn off they stay off(manual).
I think.......I'l try to remember next time i go for a ride.
