Has anyone on here done it?
Opinions of whether it looks good/anyone know what I'm talking about?
Is it a PITA and how would you go about doing it?
Thanks all

Yea, that thing lol. The thing that everyone else around here made an effort to take off and I made an effort to put on :-P

I like mine. It keeps the dust off the hatch and hides my sat antenna. I have a 1993 and put one on. It was a wiper too.
I believe thats there for trucks without rear wipers/defrosters, it defects the air down the back of the window from the roof to keep it clear.

and they do a pretty decent job at it. Every previous blazer i've owned/driven has had one (none with wipers) and i'd hardly ever get snow collection in the winters.

i might get one...my wiper button fell apart cuz i have had the acessory panel out so much..also with my cb whip mounted on the spare tire mount the whip bracket is too close to the window to allow the wiper room....sometimes the defrost isn't enough to keep the hatch clean...so this would be worth the investment?

I paid 15.00 for mine at a JY. It's only 4 screws but be careful the shocks are a PITA to fight against. I ended up having a buddy push while I screwed (boy that doesnt sound sexual  ).
So it sounds like no ones ever converted it, has anyone ever even seen it done or what the finished product looks like?

converted it to what?? Do you have one now and want to delete it? Or do you want to add it? I add one to mine. I have a hatch and hinges for a non wing one in my shop.

No. All you need is the hinges.
