Ok, anybody have a diagram w/ specs of the custom bracket needed to run '78-85 Eldorado calipers on a 10 bolt rear? I know for 5x4.75 pattern you'd need to use the 2nd & 3rd gen F body rotors & if it's the 5x5 pattern to use '78 Eldo rotors.

.. maybe it would be easier to just find a B body w/ rear discs instead of trying to use the W body stuff, huh?

W body as in FWD Impala? If so you know it is like a 10.5" solid rear rotor. Right?

Yes I do.. but the brakes work. I'm talking more about the late-70s to mid-80s W bodies like the Eldo, Riv, Seville. I know I could grab some B body stuff from the 94-up, until it became a FWD piece of crap, B body Impala SS (RWD still). I think even the Caddies & Roadmasters still run rear disc & run on a 5x5 pattern, right?

Whats this for and why you need 5x5

Whenever I do get an Astro/Safari cargo van I'd like to throw on some rear disc. I remember havin the hydroboost in the one I had & it stopped pretty well but I'd like a little more out of it.. if the one I find doesn't have HB I'll problably swap that in as well. I want something else to dick around w/ & drive in the snow. I don't want another year of driving this S10 in the snow because the truck just doesn't like it.

Teah AWD might have RWD

Nope.. don't want AWD. I've got everything sitting here to swap a V8 into a 2wd. AWD uses differents mounts & I'd need a special oil pan.. just like when a V8 gets swapped into a 4x4 blazer/s10.

I think w/ 2" drop spindles & a 3" rear flip kit it should sit pretty nice.. but I really want an early cargo version. I'll wait until I find the right one. I'd also like to put the later model front clip on.
