Hey MrMidnight when you do get some pics of it try and get some of it installed of it in and under your truck for a good look at the installation. And if you feel like doing a write up on it we can make it a sticky for other members to go buy.I know ive seen some questions about it posted before so it would be great for info.

I think there is one already in the how to section.

It is for an automatic tranny correct? (pardon my ignorance)

yes it is for the auto tranny, its simple, make your holes, set the new cable and calibrate, i'll have to ask my bud cuz he did most of the work while i was putting in his amp to be sure, and i will get the pics

I know we have write up for a factory floor shifter.I would like to have one with a aftermarket and with pics. The more info about the floor shifters the better.

This is true.
I think I am going to use factory parts when I do it.
I know it'll fit rational kind of thinking.
Plus, it gives me a reason to go scavaging in my local junkyard. . . .

I looked at the aftermarkeds when I did my conversion, and to be honest I like the look and feel of the oem ones... JMO...

I think for a moderate look you can't beat the OEM for a good quality factory look. But for someone who wants say like a ratchet action shifter the stocker won't do.So his install pics could help someone who might be in the market for a new shifter.I have the console, shifter, and all the parts to get mine done but im not gonna do it till I get some good bucket seats. And rlith your write up and pics is one of the best ive seen in awhile.

The guy that put my shifter in has done about 40 of them. Did mine in about 1 1/2 hrs. very professionally. He is pulling the shifter out of his Blazer tomm. night to put in his Chevelle and can take pics. It'll be the same as a installation with b/u lights and neutral safety switch. He'll do it as a favor to me and provide a good write-up. The guy is Sparky. Everybody okay with that?

i dont see why anyone would have an issue with it...Sparky always had good information....thats not the reason he isn't with us any more...and IMO...info is info!
