Black Vortec name plate

They are stuck down with a low-density sticky foam. I cleaned that off and used 3M doublesided tape (red). Heated it, stuck it on and done.

alright alright, I agree that the Vortec piece from like a 94 is badass, but what was under the cover? what is different now that a 2001 looks totally different? I dont know my s10's all that well, help me out here

RU asking the difference between the intakes? The cover with these Vortec emblems is just that...a cover. Its on the center of the upper intake manifold between the 'humps'. The TBody on those is up front like a TPI style intake. The later intakes like my 2003 has the TBody on top like a carb would.

what I was asking wasn't about the cover piece, its more about the 6 tube looking pieces. what is that about? as simple as you may think it is I dont know. is it just some intake manifold or what? I know my buddy's 94 had the exact same sht with the orange cover plate, all I knew it was a 4.3L Vortec but built much different than what I've seen under an 88-89 or my '01
