Begin the project by rolling down the windows in your truck. Follow that with removing the forward piece of the armrest by lifting up on the front and then pulling the rear of the armrest from the tang. Remove the plugs from any switches in the panel and set it aside.

Remove the screw from the door handle bezel and then pull on the forward portion while lifting the latch handle. Slide the bezel forward to disengage the rear portion from its tang. Remove the two screws beneath the door pull with a 7mm socket. The door panel is now ready to remove from the door.

Starting at the lower, outside corner, slide a screwdriver under the door panel enough to get a finger or two underneath. Pull the door panel away from the door gently. As each retainer lets go, make your way around the panel pulling each retainer free. When all are free, raise the panel off of the sill that it sits on at the window. Unplug any wires that go to your stock mirrors.

Remove the sponge plugs covering the nuts on the bolts holding the stock mirror on. Loosen the nuts, but place your hand through a hole in the door underneath them during removal to keep from dropping them into the door.

Bolt the mirror to the adaptor, then thread the mirror wires through the gasget. Bolt the adaptor onto the door in place of the stock mirrors. You are working with plastic parts so be sure not to over-tighten them. Replace the sponge-type plugs in the bolt-holes. Plug in the wires for your mirrors.

Remount the door panel by placing it over the lip on the door at window level. Line up the retainers and push them into place one-by-one. Re-install the door-pull bolts and the bezel screw. Plug in any applicable wires for the armrest switches, install the armrest, and you’re done!
