I paid $8 for them so you pay $8 plus shipping! at that price if no one wants one I'll wear it as a hat :D

Will those mount up to a 2000 stock rear diff?

i'm not sure - some trucks came with a 7.5" and some with an 8.5". I'm not positive on how to tell the difference but I think the 8.5 has a domed diff cover and the 7.5 has some indentations on it. most 2wd's have the 7.5" but not all. hopefully someone who knows what they're talking about will chime in?

8.5s from the 80s up until now all use the same pattern.

I could just take a tape measure out there and check it later right?

yes and no, its worth a try, but another way to tell is the axles, right before they get to the pumpkin, the 7.5s shrink a little bit.

the covers aren't that expensive anyway - around $25 normally if you want to pick one up for a 7.5". I just picked up these cause they were cheap and I thought some people on here might want them. I'm nearly positive my truck doesn't have an 8.5

1st off i see an application error. At the bottom it says 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. The F-bodies came with either the 7.5/7.625 diff or the Borg-Warner 'austrailian' 9-bolt. Which is uniqely different than the 8.5 or 7.5 10 bolt just by its looks. Most S-series came with the 7.5/7.625 diff. The cover has more straight-ish top/botton and sides. Kinda looks more square. The 8.5 is about as round as you get. 8.5s were on the ZR2 package and late 2nd gens with the 4.3/5sp combo. All other 1st gens and most 2nd gens were the 7.5 diff. Another way to tell is that the 7.5 axle tubes are straight from the ends to the pumpkin (center carrier). The 8.5 diffs normally have a larger tube. So GM in plans to keep everything universal aside from the center section, made special axle tubes for the 8.5s to be used on the s-series. They start out larger at the pumpkin and reduce in size about 1" outwards down to the 7.5 axle tube standard size. This way you can swap brakes, shocks , swaybars and other items from any s-series donor. I got an ID chart of the pics of the covers. Lemme see if it will load up later
