I did a new brake job all new Centric rotors (nicer than I expected) and EBC Red Stuff pads (hope they dust less than the Hawk ceramics) I still need to drive them after a few days of bedding I'll post some opinions.

and for those that don't know it's C5 brakes up front (with Ed's brackets) and LS1 rear.

When I get some time to wash and wax her life has been busy lately what with the 1/2 dozen projects and my 1 y/o son running around and throwing stuff all over the place.

Have him help you clean it :)

I'm getting the ATS spindles so I won't need a kit. It is a bolt on with them. I'm getting the hubs, rotors and calipers from KORE3.

You knew all about it from SSF...haha. Remember the Global West ride height thread and ZZ4Blazer saying to use the ART arms. BTW, I'm gong to mod the frame to get the drop.

I thought ceramic were less dusty--or at least supposed to be less visible b/c of the light color. I know that I see a fair amount of dust from my carbon metallic pads.

That's what I thought but those things (Hawk Pads) killed my rotors AND my wheels. The Red Stuff's are ceramics.

The brake dust problem was from the rotors and not the pads. There are different compounds and the Hawks are probably too hard.

Well hopefully the Centrics will hold up better, they are supposed to be the same rotors that Stoptech uses as their premiums.

The old rotors were Bendix. Cost way more than the Centrics too.

Do you have a link?

To the Centric site? if so....

They have been partners with StopTech for a while and recently bought them so I put 2+2 together called the guys at StopTech and they told me that they used those rotors.

We'll see because I sure drive the HELL outta my truck. I'll know in a week or two.

I got the Hawks HPS. They dusted at first, but after a month or so they quit. I keep it clean anyways. But the dusting it has now is very reasonable and minute. They have been on there for a long time now and have worn nicely. No complaints on the stopping either. The seller ACS on E-bay had a set of Single-Piston caliper S-series HPS pads starting at $9.95 and may still have them availible. They kept relisting them for a few weeks I noticed.

Oh, which EBCs you have? I got a spare set of the Green ones. I was going to put them on after these wear out...but now IDK

I got the red stuff and it's been over 1000 miles and like 2 months.

Oh. I got the Greens. Ill keep them and try them one day I guess. The Hawks have lasted a long time and no complaints. So I might sell these and get some more of those when the time comes.
