Are there any headers for the 03 4.3 that are 50 state legal that any of you know of?
I thought i remember the 03 being kind of the red headed step child of the 4.3's cause there wasnt much of a header selection, they were more for the 02 and below..
Thanks!

when they say air injection or without air injection on the headers, what does that mean?

If there are little holes on your exhaust manifold it is air injected if not then it's not. Also ceramic coating helps keep the heat down on the headers but you could just powercoat them and heat wrap them. They would stink for a while but after a month or so it goes away and works =]
Summitracing.com also sells those things for reasonable price but then again JBA and Gibson charge an arm and a unborn child for their headers =/

so correct me if im wrong the shorty's give you torque and the longtubes give you more high end?

Good question. I did a little googling into the subject (mostly based on v6 mustangs) a lot of people seem to say the shorties are better for a slightly modded engine with a single exhaust while the longtubes do produce better top end they require a more built engine to propperly use their functionality with a dual exhaust. I personally would try the shorties first and I mean if you want to go to long tubes you can always ebay some jba or gibson headers for 300+

ok thanks man ill check it out when i get out of school
Edelbrock TES Tubular Exhaust System was the first thing i bought for my motor. If you want that motor to be tuned i.e. Intake that is tuned to the headers and camshaft edelbrock is the way to go.
