Hello all, my wife noticed today that when you start the blazer the ABS light and the Brake light on the dash appear. It goes out if you turn the truck off then back on. I checked the fluid level and that seems fine, any ideas what this can be?

could be a goofy abs sensor

Im going to get a ABS Light Dia 2marro, this thing is intermitten between start-ups, I noticed the rear brakes looking kinda low so that might be the prob I hope.
Not likely. Since it happens immediately, before driving, my bet is the ABS relay, which requires the replacement of the ABS unit

Had the codes pulled ant it was a C0265 EBCM circuit open, so we cleared it and hasnt came on since, anyone clarify this code for me? Greatly appreciated!

check the other threads. There was a post not a month ago or so about that code.

looks like no one has a solution to the problem, Im jus going to pull the damn bulbs if I have too, brakes are in good shape and abs seems to run fine w/ lights on

Guess who was right? (The relay is in the EBCM, infact it is the EBCM)

Hahahaha. Ill let you in on a secret B4 you attempt that. There are no bulbs. The only bulbs in the cluster are the hi-beam idicator, turn signal indicator and the panel illumination. The rest are LEDs on the circuit board. If you look at the past thread on the topic, there were a bunch of ideas and I believe a conclusion. But there could be a number of things causing it. If it threw the ABS light, then it has a code to narrow it down. Codes are not always going to pinpoit the issue, but rather start the troubleshooting process. Until ODB 10 comes out that has a mechanic in the trunk with a computer, basic searching and troubleshooting is what we have to do.looks like no one has a solution to the problem, Im jus going to pull the damn bulbs if I have too, brakes are in good shape and abs seems to run fine w/ lights on
I will say this... just in case....
On my Vette, if the brake fluid is a c-hair too low, I get that idiot light. I don't know why it's so sensitive but it is. You might just add a touch more and see if it fixes your problem.
