I got some seafoam today, and was wondering if I can put 1/3 in the PCV valve instead of the booster line, since I don't know which side of the line to use. Will this be as effective? Thanks guys.

the PCV valve is actually more effective being that it gets to more of the engine you just have to be very careful when you do it so you do not run the risk of hydro locking the engine

I did mine at the PVC valve. The only thing that happend to me was about 3 days later I was on the interstate and it started running like **** and died. It started up and was missing real bad. I keep reving it and put it in gear and floored it and it started to run good again. I think that a peace of crap got stuck in the EGR valve. It has run good ever sence. I did not get all the smoke that everyone has told me. I have seen clips on here somewhere where showing a ton of smoke comming out the tailpipe. I had no smoke that I could see with my head under the hood.

I just did mine about 15 min ago, and it seems alright. I did have some smoke out the exhaust, but not a whole lot. I hope mine doesn't run like **** in a few days, I'm going out of town! Haha. Thanks for all your feedback. It's always appreciated.

You guys inspired me to Sea Foam my Silv. That, and I remembered I had a can of the stuff.... and because I want to keep playing with my new camera. Here's a vid of my Sea Foam experience.

Took off the intake tube and poured the can into the throttle body. I stopped pouring half way through the vid but that sucker smoked for a while.

I guess this is one way to make the truck sound like it has a cam

Did it flow into the valve cover or the intake? If it went into the valve cover then that's the reason you guys didn't have smoke. The smoke comes from cleaning the carbon deposits.

I think more people Seafoam just to see the smokey display. The best one was (sorry I cant remember which member here it was) the guy doing it in fromt of the auto parts store! Thats awesome. Its kinda like going to a restauraunt to eat dinner and seeing an ambulance at the door hauling a victim away. Hehehe

I did mine on the pvc valve hose to the intake. It did not smoke that bad. I thought it would smoke like the guy in front the auto parts store.

Is there any mileage that people usually do that at? Just curious because it might be kind of fun to do it to my truck but idk if it's necessary or not. I'm at about 45k miles, so. I'm sure it couldn't hurt, but just curious! Thx.

If you use quality gas like V-power you won't get all that smoke. The most smoke I got out of my truc kwas when I ceaned the the throttle blade. I also found that the Valvoline synthetic throttle body cleaner works MUCH better than seafoam

Yeah then when you pull a plug to find the locked cylinder you get the flying plug o doom! Atleast with water you do I saw a vid of that on a jetski =]
