2-5K.. that's as rough as it gets & it all depends on what parts you choose & there will be some things you can't do you'll need to outsource. Maybe you'll chose a trans that wasn't stock & you need to have the driveshaft modified, for example.

I am right there with you Chad. I would like to drop an LS in my truck, but funds aren't there yet. I will probably throw my 4.3L up for sale and donate a percentage of the money to S10Planet when sold. Wont be for at least another year though, need to graduate from school first. Motor will probably have about 35-40k on it when I am ready to sell. I will keep everyone posted when ready.

it costed me $240 for the whole swap. i had the motor and trans already and all i had to get was motor mount adapters and headers. the headers where 140 and the adapters where 100.
