Got myself an 80%. Pulleys are my problem & knowing how much each lightens the load. This is more or less like the test I had to take when I went for my last interview.

I actually think it's a ratio for each, not a equal weight per pulley
I got 80% at 2:15am after sitting with my mom at the hospital all day... I'd say I did damn good! :D

Sweet! so what's the conversion for pulleys? -25kg for each?It all depends on the set up. I can't explain how it works. Go to that how it works site and look up block and tackle. I would be goolge hates me

72% Remember that if you ever have to explain anything to me. What did help me was my physics classes. And I did have a couple honest mistakes.

62% too. IDK where I f-ed up. Pulleys were easy, most of the weight stuff and of course electrical. Maybe it was the BS that was thrown in there

When you are done you can review the test.

Yes, at the end while displaying your score somewhere in the upper right of the flash screen is a magnafying glass... it will go over every question, your answer and a green arrow will point to the correct answer

got an 84. guess i could be a mechanic. of course, that IS a ford quiz, so i think as long as you get a 25 they will hire you. :D

I don't know about that... Ford mechanics really have to know their stuff! I mean since Fords are always breaking down and all

I am a 2nd Term Apprenticing Farm Equipment Mechanic...scored 410 Points, 82% Not too bad I dont think..

Same here, 80% and the damn pulleys killed me.
Since when does a down-ward moving piston NOT provide suction - vacuum?? No wonder Fords are slow. Also, if you close both switches, you have a parallel circuit through the switch and the bulb and all three should light up right?? I'm not an electrical guru though...

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the piston... As far as the light bulb, it's often said that "current takes the path of least resistance", that's a generalization, but it will always take a short over a resistive path, so with the short is there it would skip that middle light bulb.

technically it is atmospheric pressure that forces the intake charge into the cylinder. The reason why they don't want to say suction/vacuum from a downward piston is because in some occasions with forced induction the cam profile makes for almost 0 Vacuum and relies on forced induction to feed the cylinder

So did I win?...haha
Right... it's essentially saying that the cylinder is low pressure and the atmosphere is high pressure. Um... that's called vacuum if you are a normal human. Engineers are a$$holes!!

i got that one wrong too. I think it's one of those which answer is most right questions, a case could be made for either answer.
