Removing a '98 S10 Door Panel
Removing the door panel from a 98-01 S10 is quite easy. It will require a few tools. Beside a philips screwdriver and a socket wrench you will need a door panel removal tool and also a window crank removal tool. They look like this:

Window Crank Remover Door Panel Remover
The first thing you have to do is remove the door handle trim. This is done with a philips screwdriver(green arrow). Next take a 7mm nut driver and take out the two bolts under the handle(pink arrows). Then use the window crank removal tool to take off the window crank(yellow arrow). To remove the window crank just slide the tool between the crank and the door, while keeping the tool parallel with the crank. For example, in this picture you would use the tool in an upward movement, keeping it perpendicular with the ground.

After these four things are removed you can use the door panel removal tool to remove the door panel. the end of the tool is forked, put the tongs on either side of the little white plastic clips that hold on the door. From there just pop off each clip, or if you don't have the tool you can rip off the panel with your hands, but you're likely to break the clips. After the clips are off the panel will seemed hinged at the top. Without pulling the panel out from the door too much, lift it up to slide it out from between the window and door. That's it, installation is the opposite of removal, what's inside is below. http://www.buildyourride.com/tech/s10doorpaneloff.jpg
