Wow Thats some read on the e-fan....I am a lil lost and am doubting i can do it blah!!!!!
But am gonna give it a try!
You only need the fan and the connector from the car. You need to source everything else new.

The ones I saw on the boxy 3.8L Taurus' had a offset shroud attached. Is that assembly all needed and will it fit with the stock housings?

Yes, after you pull the upper fan shroud and set the fan in there you will see how to attach it, it fits quite nicely on our rads. I just drilled a couple holes in the top of the rad and screwed the top of the e-fan in place. the bottom is held by the lower fan shroud. Then just put the upper shoud back in place, and wire it up.
