For a bit of a custom look without heavy a door panel fabrication, for now, I was thinking of making custom fit grills for my aftermarket speakers. If anyone holds on to old Truckin' Mags, what I was planning was in the May 2004 issue, page 122, stage 3, starting at step 36.

I've seen some documentation in a forum somewhere but I lost track of it. If anyone has any ideas, experience or documentation in this area I'd appreciate any input.

could always add kick panels...get the tweeter and the speaker down by your feet then glass the door hole over or something

Yeah, true, but this look would get rid of the stock grills and make it more appealing. If i do get around to doing it soon I'll try and post some pics and steps I did. Even though I don't have a digital camera or have never worked with fiberglass, lol

This should be interesting :moptop_12

is it the one from the project s10? i love that look, my brother and i are fixing to do it after i get back from florida.....i talked it over with my stereo buddy its a wood spacer under the speakers that the speakers mount to and then the grill is mounted on top of that...its pretty straight forward....i'll post pics when i get around to it.....if you get it done first let me know how it works

can I give some advice? well I am anyway. To save yourself some heartache, when you are doing glass for the first time, especially on a door pannel where everyone is gonna see it, buy a practice door pannel. This is what we did at the shop when we were building a custom speaker setup. That way, you can be an "expert" by the time you are ready to do your own door pannels
