Engine Displacement Tax

So what do you guys think of this little jewel senate bill? Number 6900, it states that any engine with more than 1.9L will be taxed extra on your registration yearly. For instance, a 3.5L is about 300 dollars, and a 5.7L would be about 500 some bucks extra YEARLY! It's been passed in Washington, and they're trying to get it passed in other states. This is gonna really suck for those V8s now. I can't find a good link to the article about it though but I've been hearing about it on the radio. Even my little 2.2L will be charged like an extra 100 bucks a year because of this if it's passed here.

Oh, well as for dump trucks, government vehicles aren't charged this tax :P How convenient right? The only good part about it all is that the money goes to fund transportation.

hope they dont do that up here in canada...christ, i just flipped out cus my insurance went up 46 bucks a month to $249..but thats renters insurance, truck insurance, life insurance, and dirtbike insurance.

Lol my thoughts exactly, who the F*** came up with 1.9L, there are so many 2.0-2.4L engines out there who are gonna get dinged for that, it's so stupid. I just feel sorry if it ever happens for all those V8s out there.
