well ive been doing alot of work today. i set the fuel pressure finally and got a rough tune on it. then i spent the rest of the day tuning and refining it. its alot of work but at least its all white coller stuff with a lap top. i plan on trying to finish mounting the ic tomorrow, and hopefully put the front end back together. pics to come.

ok here is the update as promised.

as i said i spent most of sat. working on the tune and i made a lot of progress, i actually finally got it to work for some wot runs. and its doing much better throughout the rpm range. it was way lean, and pegged lean under wot (not a good thing) but it pegs rich now and its much better.

still alot of issues to work out with the tune, but she is driving around now, just not a daily at this point.

ok, sunday, i spent the whole day working on mounting my intercooler. well not all day, my parents washing machine broke. so i had to help haul the old one out, the new one in, help set it up and show them how to use it.

but the rest of the day was spent on it. i got it mounted and it turned out GREAT! it was really nice to have something just go right for a change. this project has been unbelievable with how Fukin hard every little thing has been to do. it took me 3 DAYS to relocate my battery. and im not a retard nor do i just suck at car stuff, it was really that much of a fight.

everything just went really smoothly, there was only one small mess up where the whole i drilled in the frame for one of the straps wasn't where i wanted it. but i welded it back up and drilled another and it worked out great.

ok on to the pics. im disappointed with the pics because they don't make it look as nice as it is. but here they are.





the one bracket is longer(before the bend) to clear the out-let on the drivers side.



its straight, look at the bottom weld line compared to the frame rails, and look at the brackets compared to the mounting tabs( the drivers side is straighter than it looks there, i think i am slightly off to the side and its throwing it off). and those little red marks in the middle of the ic mark the dead center of the ic and the little slot in the hood latch support shows the dead center of the car. so you can get an idea of how well it lines up, and again im mad at these pics.

i will be finishing the hood latch soon. it will mount to the frame down below the ic and should be plenty strong. (the hood latch support was hard to cut to fit like that.) but it should be pretty easy to finish up. then i have to plum it to the intake side and back in for where the turbo will be so that i can close up the front end and drive this B****! i plan on driving it daily, intercooled n/a, until i have time to tear into the final phase of mounting the turbo. during that time i will be refining the tune so that when it comes time for the turbo i will be ready for it, and can start tuning with boost!
