OBD II Port Not Working - HELP PLEASE

I have a 1999, 4 cylinder Chevy S10 extended cab and my Service Engine Soon light is on. At first, it would come on and stay on for a few days and then goes off for a while. Now, it stays on.

The truck runs really rough when it's cold. It acts like it's getting too much gas when I push the accelerator. I have to wait until it gets up to at least 200 degrees before it will run smooth.

I'm thinking that it's either an 02 or temperature sensor.

I had a couple of different people try to hook up to my OBDII port to check the codes but it reads NO DATA.

I found the link below and I need to know where the fuse is to my OBD II port.

The OBD2 port gets it's power from the cig lighter fuse.... It will be on the drivers side of the dash.. Open the door and there it is...

Ahhhh Haaaa... The cigarette lighter doesn't work, either. I quit smoking a year ago and just picked up this truck 3 months ago. I'll check the fuse for the lighter.

    Thanks JONGO8,

    Dave

Kick ass... Thanks JONGO8... I ran out side and checked the lighter fuse and sure enough it was blown. I'm going to run it up to AutoZone and have them check the code now.

BTW here's a pic of my other ride. The S10 gets me to work and back 60 miles each way.

Cool... Thanks everybody. I've been working on the Elky for about 4 years. Last thing to do is recondition the dash bezel. She has her original 283 and 2-speed power-glide.

Finally, got a code out of the S10. It was the Oxygen Sensor. Now I just have to wait for it to cool down.

The OBD II thing was kicking my ass. Guess I was over-thinking things.

I sure love the Elky... No computer

It's amazing... I use computers all day - everyday and yet I hate them in vehicles.
