    oil blowing out of engine

    hey i just baught a 1996 4.3 s10 and when it warms up the engine blows the pcv valve out and squirts oil all over the place. any ideas what might be causing this?

    Check to be sure the PCV valve is on properly. Otherwise check to see if there is any visible pathway when the vehicle is not operating in or around that area.

    make sure the pcv valve isnt clogged. shake it and it should rattle. ur getting blow back for some reason

    Like the others said, check the pcv vale. If it's OK. Then it sounds like rings.

    u spew oil and my truck burns almost as much oil as it does gas o and it also has the self changing oil feature lol aka a oil leak
    90 4.3 auto ex cab-blown up and junked
    89 2.5 auto std cab short bed-totaled

    hey sorry i haven't been on in a while. but all i did was rap the pvc valve in tape and make like a fake gromit and bam no more oil spill. ha thanks guys.
