Yeah, it's in the title. Just looking for cheap and somewhat simple mods or things to do tho improve gas mileage...cause gas is getting more expensive and I have to drive this until the end of July. Then I can get a Civic, Corolla, Accord or Camry![]()

as much as you hate it, you really don't need ac, especially if your moving, an ac compressor will drain a large amount of HP from the engine, and from your pocket book. just run with your windows down. I do it and I live in Texas, I only run it when my GF is in the truck. And a standard will save you more gas than an automatic, just don't get carried away with the throttle, learn how to skip shift and or progressive shift, or both.

What are you getting for gas mileage now? I'm thinking you should be getting mid 20s with a 5 speed, 2wd. We get low 20s with a lifted, carbed, 4 speed 4wd and I get high 20s, sometimes low 30s with a 3.1L auto Camaro....
If you are getting mid 20s and you are getting a different car because of fuel mileage, you need to take Camary and Accord off the list because they are rated for less...
Of all the roads you take in life, make sure some of them are dirt.
